Aion 2 Chanter Build

Global · PvE (PvP notes below) · last verified 2026-10-13 · community-compiled

This Chanter build summarises community guides for Global and is checked against our damage model. NC publishes no builds, so nothing here is official; badges show where community reports agree or differ. Builds change with patches, so check the date.

The Chanter fights in melee with a staff and carries some of the strongest party buffs in Aion 2. Its own damage runs through Dark Crush, opened by Spinning Strike or Impactful Crush; recent videos mention a Dark Crush rework, so check specialization text in game.

RoleMelee support DPS
Core mechanicOpen Dark Crush windows; Dark Crush 16 removes its cooldown
StigmasUndefeated Mantra, Power of the Storm + 2 flex
Skills firstDark Crush → 8 (guaranteed crit) → 16 (no cooldown), then Spinning Strike and Onslaught
MacroDark Crush line + Onslaught, held; mantras and burst by hand
StatsCrit rate to 50%, then crit damage; front/back useful; Smite needs party buffs vs bosses

Chanter stat priority (from our calculator)

Every class shares the same top three on a typical Global sheet: Smite (with party Smite) (+0.95%), Attack Increase (+0.76%), Combat Speed (+0.74%). What changes for the Chanter is below.

QuestionChanter answerNumbers (+1 point)
Crit rate or crit damage? Crit rate wins until the 50% cap Crit rate +0.46% (= 10.7 Attack) · Crit damage +0.36% (= 8.3 Attack)
Front/back damage boost? Works; value scales with how long you hold position (75% uptime assumed) +0.72% per 1%
Smite vs boss resist Bosses resist 30% Smite. Solo with 25% Smite you are below it, so Smite adds nothing; with 10% party Smite every point counts. Solo +0.00% · Party +0.95%

Open the Chanter preset in the calculator Example sheet: ~1,800 attack, 45% crit, 33% crit damage boost, 25% Smite, boss target. Your gear changes the order: enter your own numbers.

Chanter note: Your Mantra buffs other players, so personal stat gains matter less than uptime. For your own damage, crit rate leads crit damage until 50% and side or back damage works because the tank holds the boss.

Dark Crush is only usable for 2 seconds after Spinning Strike or Impactful Crush; the stack opens and spends that window.

Keep manual: Undefeated Mantra (toggle – never in a macro), Power of the Storm, Fracturing Blow, Recuperation.

Dark Crush was reworked per recent videos; check specializations in game.

PvP notes

  • Turn Sprint Mantra off
  • Marchutan's Wrath to 20 for a large healing cut
  • Fracturing Blow and Impactful Crush at 16
  • One community guide: no settled Global PvP setup yet

Where guides disagree

  • Third and fourth stigmas differ in all three guides.
  • Stat order: Attack first (a community wiki, since Attack also feeds healing) versus Accuracy and Combat Speed first (another guide).
  • Dark Crush was reworked (per recent video titles); older guides may list outdated specializations.

Global vs Korea notes

  • One community guide uses Global numbers and warns some Korean values are higher.
  • Mantra buff values on Global are lower than Korean tooltips; our calculator does not assume them.

FAQ

Is Chanter a healer in Aion 2?

It is a melee support: it heals in emergencies and buffs party damage, but Cleric is the dedicated healer.

What is the best Chanter build?

Dark Crush to 16 for the cooldown removal, Undefeated Mantra and Power of the Storm, and two flex stigmas for damage or defense.

Chanter or Cleric?

Pick Chanter if you want melee combat and party damage buffs; Cleric if you want to be the main healer.

Did the Dark Crush rework change the build?

Videos mention a rework; the core idea of opening Dark Crush windows still appears in every guide, but check specialization text in game.

What should a Chanter put in Daevanion?

Dark Crush, Onslaught and Spinning Strike nodes first, then Attack Preparation, Inspiring Spell and Earth's Promise.
